Dot NAME Domain Names

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME universal extension is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domains remained running.

Through our firm, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar company and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special regulations on who can register a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the idea behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME generic top-level domain name extension is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost.
