A: When your current web hosting provider can no longer meet the requirements of your site, or when you face constant network downtime, or if you are made to wait for hours for the customer service team to respond back to you, it may be smart to switch your web hosting provider, i.e. to move all the files for your web sites as well as your databases from your current provider to your new provider. At Finest-Host, we realize that this can be hard and time–consuming. For this reason, we’ll accomplish all that for you at no cost!Our capable technical staff members will move your web site content from your current provider to us. Our technicians have a lot of experience migrating web sites and are able to handle anything – from an ordinary WordPress–powered weblog or Joomla^™ CMS–based website, to a very complex, custom–built web app.

A: While we cannot give you an exact time frame, because there are lots of factors, among them the physical size of the files and databases, the physical location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your website and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to move your site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (if the website content is not very large).

A: We don’t require any information that is personal. We will need, though, the login info for your present web hosting account along with the name of the site that you would like to move.

A: User privacy is indeed one of our greatest priorities – that is why, both our payment transaction page and our CP login page are secured with enterprise–class Secure Sockets Layer certificates. We employ security measures, which include, but are not limited to: physical, digital and administrative procedures to secure the data that we receive on the web. And we have a detailed and rigorous Privacy Policy, which outlines the types of information that we collect.

A: Nah. Your site will stay fully operational during the transfer. As soon as everything is done on our end, we will let you know so that you can preview it and check for any problems. If everything’s alright, all you will need to do is update your domain’s DNS records.

A: While we move your content, your web hosting provider won’t be aware of the transfer at all. We will not contact them in any way.

A: We support all Linux–based hosting platforms. Essentially, if we can access your Control Panel, we’ll be able to transfer your web site.The only platforms that we do not support are closed–source web site creation platforms like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
